November 2008

He was at my house. Surfed the web. and did not log out after it.

I could abuse this moment (like I did before), but I will not.

This time. last time.

next time this happens… well you will see. :)

But all of you can watch this :)

(for English speaking children, parental advisory recommended :) )

I already mentioned that I rarely listen to female singers.
There something in most of their music…oh, forget about it…
Can’t explain, won’t try…It’s nothing mysoginic really…

But the number of the ones that I do listen to is almost reaching ten,
so here are some songs of the singers I really enjoy listening to…
Hope you’ll listen to this
So the list is:
1.Madeleine Peyroux singing great cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Dance to the end of love” which is an amazing song as it is, but, her voice gives it another dimension…
2.Kimya Dawson…is a wacky “anti-folk”(whatever that means) singer and…well, just listen
3.Gillian Welch is in my opinion one of the greatest female country singers alive
4.Of course, Emmylou Harris is presented here as backing vocal on Bright Eyes‘”Landlocked blues“.I think I don’t have to talk too much about her
5.Norah Jones…well…Norah Jones

P.S. I don’t know why is the player playing it disordered, but what can I do…

We were driving home from work the other day, dead tired, and this song(one of my favorites) was playing on the radio, and I instantly thought of future Mrs.Edelinski…waiting for me 300 miles away…

So, I’m dedicating this song(it’s on the side as always) and this post to her…mimicatih

I see everything :o =)

I saw that someone was searching for Robi Robinson on my blog, so whoever you are, here’s a little help; I think you were searching for the guy called Robbie Robertson, and the band is The Band. By the way, he is one of the best living guitarists.

Hope I helped.

It was raining a lot for the last couple of days, therefore working in the fields had to wait, and today was the first day, after Tuesday when it didn’t rain. (It was awfully foggy, though).

Anyway, we had to work today. And I really rested for the last few days, and I was ready for the action.

But somehow my body feels it’s Sunday. As if it knows that it shouldn’t be workin’ eventhough it doesn’t need any more rest.

I don’t understand, and will not try, but there was one song that kept comin’ back to my mind, so I would like to recommend you, my readers, to listen to it.

Or if you don’t like country music too much, read the lyrics

See this, but watch until the end

People, thank you all for your prayers…
The weather was unbelievable for this time of year.
Almost like summer.
It’s raining for the last two days, but, maybe that’s not that bad, to rest a little.
Anyway, I’m working in the fields for one more week or so, and then(and this is amazing):when I get home, I’ll start teaching guitar in a music school in Vukovar and Vinkovci.
For those of you who don’t know, this was planned(and almost started) long time ago, but there were always some problems involved, but this time it’s all settled and the job’s waiting for me.
It will, most likely, be a part time job for a while, but who knows…
I’m thankful to God for the weather these days, and for friends who kept in their minds and prayers, and for His mysterious ways…

There is one problem, and I will ask you to pray that…

While working here, I injured my right hand, I don’t know how, maybe I just stretched a muscle, or something, but I tried playing guitar just last night, and I couldn’t hold a pick, it keeps falling out of my hands. So that’s a bit frustrating…

I’m sure it’s nothing, but I’m asking you to keep me in your minds, ’cause I’m teaching for the first time right when I get home, day after work here,  so I hope my hand will start listening to me…

Once again, thank you all…

Saturday…finally…
I was preparing to meet with my friends from Ilok, now living in Zagreb.
I looked out the window, and the rain was pouring down.
The day didn’t start that well…
Problem is that my shoes are destroyed.Soles are torn…
I’m too cheap to buy a new pair(dear ones say)
It goes perfectly with my country image;shirt, jeans, blues harp in my pocket, and torn shoes. That’s my excuse.
But the rain…that means I have to go to east from west part of the city, while the rain is getting in my shoes.
Not my definition of a well spent day.
I went outside, and saw the sun preparing to shine.
The asphalt was dry in few minutes.
I’m keeping these shoes for few more days, weeks, who knows, maybe years…

Until I’m forced to get new pair.

The rest of the day was ok, although I felt a bit down.
Ryan Adams on my mp3 helped (in keeping me down).
Thanks, Ryan
