As a kid, I saw the Nazi skinheads’ movement in Novi Sad rising up.
I was watching all of those teen kids with shaved heads, Doc Marten boots, and flight jackets and Swastikas and all of that seemed so powerful to me.
It seemed that they have their own attitude, and, in a way, I admired them, all of us were scared of them
They were listening to Oi! and punk music, which I got into, eventually,
Anyway, the reason why I am writing this, that last Friday, in Novi Sad, there was suppose to be a “Neo-Nazi March for Serbian unity”, on Himmler’s birthday.
It was banned, but of course, they came, and there was a conflict with Anti-Fascist Action.
And you could think that it’s not a big deal, and there are idiots all around, but I’d just like to remind everyone who think that way, that around WWI Hitler was just a funny and angry little painter and a cartoon drawer…
There is a very thin line between fiery speeches and burning villages and streams of blood
This all makes me so sad, and angry, and I was thinking that, Hitler did not really lose the war…
His demonic ideas still exist, because they were not even his, he was just Satan’s channel of evil.
If I wrote this few days ago, you could see my anger, and a will to go there and fight with
those idiots, but now, I am thinking that they are not the only problem.
Nazi is not only a person who talks about the “solution” of the Jewish question, and Aryan race, and it is not a question of any specific nation, but there are traces of racism and fascism all around…
The other thing that is worrying me that they are obviously connected to the Orthodox
Church in Serbia, and that is clear through their speeches and some priests’ speeches
That scares me very, very much, because, in my 26 years, I saw the evil repeating a lot of times, and I hope that my kids won’t live through the same thing.
I could write about the subject a lot more detailed but I think that this enough for now…
Anyway, there is a trace of a great anger in me still, and I wanted to name my post like this, I’ll just put a link, because I want to keep the politeness on my blog.
And just to show you how scary this is, I’ll put one more link, and I promise I won’t do this in future. Please don’t watch this if you get shocked easily.

I wish I lived in times when I could listen to his first albums right when they were released

When I was a teenager I had two guitar heroes, Mark Knopfler and Eric Clapton.
I must admit Clapton was always more important one, don’t really know why, but it’s just like that.
First song I really learned how to play was Wonderful Tonight, and I simply loved that song.
The song that I learned to play after this one was Rape Me, by Nirvana, but that’s another issue.
Anyhow, the way Clapton played, simply fascinated me, and I couldn’t stop listening to everything I could get from his music. I slowly started learning, and although I’ll never be able to play like him, I am really happy that I learned from him, and if he is reading(yes, you Eric), I hope he’ll find mercy in his heart and invite me to play on one of his concerts, or albums.
If “Oh, I’m so sexy, and funny and cool John Ray Mayer” can, why can’t I?
First song I learned to play from Dire Straits, was an easy song called “Where’d you think you’re going”, and I know, and I’ve made my peace with the fact, that I’ll never play anything close to Mark Knopfler.
The man is a true genius, and I cannot resist his guitar fingerpicking style.
Anyway, I learned a lot from him, and I’m really thankful to God that someone like that exists.
Few years ago when he had an motorcycle accident, that was I true shock for me, and me and my friend Rob (remember this?), already planned a day of mourning.
Fortunately, this did not happen, and Mark is still playing.
The reason I wrote all of this is because both of them issued new albums this year
Eric Clapton and JJ Cale issued “the Road to Escondido” which is a truly great album , from the beginning track named “Danger”, and it contains some maybe even the best work from both of them.
Tracks I recommend are “Danger”, “Missing person”, “Hard to thrill”, “Three little girls”, “Ride the river” etc.
Mark Knopfler issued an new album called “Kill to get Crimson”, a week ago, and I must admit, I am still getting into it, and it is surely not the best work from him, but has some really beautiful songs, “the Scaffolder’s Wife”, “We can get wild” and I especially recommend “Heart full of holes”.
Well, I hope this will encourage to get these two albums…
